Denver-area veterinary recruiting coverage

A Denver veterinary search works best when the hospital address comes before the city label. Denver neighborhoods, suburbs in Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties, the City and County of Broomfield and Boulder are different workplaces under different local governments. Business Executive Group uses the employer’s role, schedule and location to scope a permanent search.

Define the actual hospital location

Name the street address, municipality and county, and keep Denver neighborhoods separate from suburban cities. Several places cross county lines: Aurora reaches Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties, Littleton reaches Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson, and Arvada and Westminster each reach Adams and Jefferson. Highlands Ranch is a census designated place, not a city. Coverage on this site is limited to Colorado; a hospital in another state falls under a different licensing authority.

Keep the working pattern attached to the location

Give the hiring team one brief for each facility, with clinical work, technician delegation, weekend duties and location commitments stated together. Colorado asks veterinarians for 32 hours of continuing education every two years, so state the support the practice provides. O*NET OnLine, using Bureau of Labor Statistics 2025 wage data, lists a higher median annual wage for veterinarians in the Denver-Aurora-Centennial area than for Colorado overall or the United States, which is context candidates may bring to an offer. Colorado State University’s college of veterinary medicine in Fort Collins awards the DVM, and a graduate of any AVMA-accredited school can apply for a Colorado license. This site describes employer hiring coverage without claiming a Denver recruiting office.

Discuss the actual search coverage

Locations describe employer inquiry coverage, not separate recruiting offices or existing clients. Business Executive Group reviews the role and location before confirming an engagement. Final service scope, fees and screening responsibilities are agreed with the employer.

For the wider engagement, review our veterinary recruiting services and the employer search process.

Central Denver

Capitol Hill and Five Points are separate statistical neighborhoods near the center of the City and County of Denver, which Denver divides into 78 areas. Denver lists the downtown core and Union Station as their own neighborhoods, so give the street address and the exact neighborhood before describing a central role. Keep a Capitol Hill assignment apart from a Five Points assignment even when one group runs both.

West and northwest Denver

Highland and Sloan Lake are separate Denver statistical neighborhoods, and West Highland is a third. Edgewater and Lakewood are separate cities in Jefferson County. State whether the hospital is in Denver or in Jefferson County before naming the role, and list any second site on its own line.

South and southeast Denver

Cherry Creek, Washington Park, Baker and Hampden are separate Denver statistical neighborhoods, and several have a named neighbor such as Washington Park West or Hampden South. Cherry Hills Village, Englewood and Centennial are separate Arapahoe County cities. A south Denver address and an Arapahoe County address describe different hospitals and different employers.

East and northeast Denver

Central Park, the Park Hill neighborhoods, Lowry Field and Montbello are separate Denver statistical neighborhoods. Denver lists Park Hill as North, South and Northeast, so name the one that applies. Aurora and Commerce City are separate cities with their own street addresses.

North metro

Westminster, Thornton, Northglenn, Broomfield and Commerce City are separate cities north of the City and County of Denver. Westminster and Thornton each cross a county line, Northglenn touches Adams and Weld counties, and Broomfield is its own city and county. Use the hospital address and county for each role so a candidate is not left guessing which jurisdiction applies.

West metro

Lakewood, Arvada and Golden are separate cities west and northwest of Denver. Lakewood and Golden are in Jefferson County, and Arvada spans Adams and Jefferson counties. State the address and county for each role, and keep each site distinct even where one group operates in two of these cities.

South metro

Englewood, Littleton and Centennial are separate cities south of Denver. Englewood and Centennial are in Arapahoe County, and Littleton spans Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties. The hospital’s street address, not the city name alone, shows which county applies to the role.

Douglas County

Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker and Castle Rock are in Douglas County. Highlands Ranch is a census designated place without its own city government, Lone Tree is a city, and Parker and Castle Rock are towns. Describe each community by its actual status in the job brief.

Aurora

Aurora is a single city that reaches into Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties, and the Census Bureau lists more land area for Aurora than for the City and County of Denver. Treat each Aurora hospital as its own address and list any Denver or Centennial site separately.

Boulder County

Boulder is a separate city in Boulder County, outside Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties. Treat a Boulder hospital as its own search rather than a variation on a Denver one, and list any Broomfield or Westminster site on a separate line.

Check the work location and recruiting scope.

Use Denver Community Planning and Development, the Denver statistical neighborhoods data service, the DRCOG member governments list and the Census Bureau Colorado place-by-county file to distinguish municipalities, neighborhoods and the actual work address. County and city websites also describe their boundaries. Confirm the actual hospital address with the employer, especially in cities that cross county lines and in communities that are not incorporated.

For the service itself, review BEGHR’s permanent veterinary placement service and placement scope and milestone billing. These pages describe employer recruiting coverage, not separate local offices. Geography sources do not establish candidate availability or placement results.

Plan Colorado credential checks before the start date.

Use the Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations license lookup for the relevant professional record. Colorado licenses veterinarians through the State Board of Veterinary Medicine within the Department of Regulatory Agencies, and veterinary technicians are registered through the same Division. Assign a person to verify license status and the expiration date, record the verification date and resolve questions with the Division. Check any additional specialty credentials required by the employer with the issuing organization.

For a candidate moving from another state, review the Colorado veterinary applications and licensing guide. Do not treat an out-of-state license or a preferred start date as confirmation that Colorado requirements are satisfied. Colorado does not require a jurisprudence exam, but an applicant must hold an active license before practicing and must show current clinical competency. The Division determines eligibility and timing; BEGHR does not issue licenses.

For continuing education and renewal rules, see the Colorado veterinary continuing education requirements and the State Board of Veterinary Medicine page.

How milestone billing works

Follow the search.
Understand each invoice.

Recruiting is billed for work performed within your agreed fee range, with progress reviewed at defined search stages. BEGHR manages your account and invoices; the recruiting team handles sourcing, screening and candidate delivery.

  1. 01

Kick off and agree the billing plan

Define the role, clinical requirements and candidate profile. Confirm the fee, billable milestones, invoice schedule and payment terms in your client agreement before work starts.

  2. 02

    Build qualified candidate leads

The recruiting team sources prospects and screens them against your brief. Weekly calibration reviews candidate quality, the pipeline and any changes needed to the sourcing strategy.

  3. 03

    Approve candidates; billing begins

Review qualified candidates and confirm which meet your criteria before interviews. BEGHR’s published process starts billing after applicants are sent; your agreement defines the billable work, milestones and amounts.

  4. 04

    Interview, select and hire

The recruiter coordinates interviews, candidate communication and offer support. You select the hire. BEGHR invoices on your agreed cadence, at least monthly during billable service delivery.

Know what you are paying for.

This is hourly, pay-as-you-go recruiting within an agreed fee range, billed as work progresses. Completed billable work may be payable even if no placement is made. Your client agreement sets the range, billable milestones, amounts and due dates.

Select your role and submit your employer details to receive your estimate. No commitment to begin a search.

Employer questions

Veterinary recruiting questions

How does milestone billing work?

Agree the role, estimated fee range, billable milestones and payment terms before the search begins. Recruiting uses an hourly, pay-as-you-go model within the agreed range. BEGHR’s published placement process starts billing after applicants are sent. Invoices follow the agreed cadence, at least monthly during billable service delivery. BEGHR handles client billing and account questions.

Do we pay if a search does not result in a hire?

Milestone billing pays for agreed work as the search progresses, so completed billable milestones may still be payable without a placement. Your client agreement specifies the billing triggers, amounts, due dates and any cancellation terms.

Where can we see our placement price?

Select your role, complete the hiring questions and submit your employer contact details through the pricing form to receive an estimated fee range. BEGHR confirms the role classification, final fee and payment milestones before you engage the service.

How long does placement take?

BEGHR’s placement timeframe is 23–55 days. Timing depends on the role, candidate availability and the employer’s hiring process.

How does BEGHR pricing compare with contingency recruiting?

BEGHR offers placement at typically 50% less than contingency recruiting and 50% off second and subsequent hires for the same role. Use the pricing form for an estimate and confirm your fee and repeat-hire eligibility before starting.

What fill rate does BEGHR report?

BEGHR reports 86% fill rate on active searches across its placement service. This provider-wide figure is not a city-specific or veterinary-only result and does not guarantee an individual hiring outcome.

Who receives my employer inquiry?

Business Executive Group receives your contact information, selected roles, qualification answers, placement estimate and the originating website and page through its existing BEGHR lead intake. This is an employer inquiry, not a candidate job application.

How are placement fees confirmed?

The instant-pricing form uses BEGHR’s role categories and current retail ranges to show an estimate after you submit your employer details. The provider confirms the actual category, scope, payment milestones and commercial terms before a search engagement begins.

Does a listed community have a separate recruiting office?

No. Community coverage describes the location of a potential employer search. It does not represent a local office, an existing client or a claim that a candidate is already available.
